M.O.P. in CYBERSPACE!

Hello Metropolis Opera Project FANS!

We're delighted to announce M.O.P.'s highly anticipated cyberspace presence! You can now find us on Facebook, Twitter, Blogger and of course at our website:

http://www.metropolisoperaproject.org

For those of you new to M.O.P we are a new non-for-profit NYC based experimental opera company devoted to presenting new and forgotten works in an intimate setting. Previous productions include imbecile d'amour and The Black Swan Theory, both presented at the Medicine Show Theatre on W. 52nd Street. (http://www.medicineshowtheatre.org)

We're currently working on Kristin Hevner's Il Sogno, a new Italian opera based on Midsummer Night's Dream to be presented in NYC in September of 2009. Also in the works...a one act opera festival in early 2010 featuring forgotten works by great composers with updated English libretti all with great relevance to our current social and economic climate.

We look forward to sharing exciting art with you!
